Potential Income

From our experience, we recommend a realistic approach to entering the inspection business part-time.  It is not possible to predict your income, but the following projections would be typical of a new part-time professional inspector.  The figure of $300 for each inspection is typical for Home Inspection Service. Fees, however, vary widely across the county.

  • First six months with 1 inspection/week at $300.............=  $7,800

  • Second six months with 1.5 inspections/week at $300 ...=  $11,700

  • First Year potential part-time income (approx.)...............=  $19,500

  • Second Year with 2.5 inspections/week at $300..............=  $39,000

  • Third Year with 5.0 inspections/week at $300..................=  $78,000

    Fourth Year with 10 inspections/week at $300.................=  $156,000
  • Fifth Year with 15 inspections/week at $300....................=  $234,000

Building this career is just like any other profession. The income projections for a new
accountant,  dentist, or attorney have a similar five-year growth curve. But unlike those
professions, you can work the inspection career part-time. Some inspectors only schedule
inspections for Saturdays so they can continue their current full-time job.

Your Instructor will have much more to share about building
and growing your business, during the training.
